Our Services

We (Ears On Wheels):

  • Offer our combined 85+ years of experience in hearing healthcare
  • Act as liaison between patient and their audiologist if established
  • Train, inform and counsel the patient, family and caregiving staff
  • Screen and test hearing
  • Assess broken hearing aids to either fix or facilitate the repair
  • Provide battery testers to caregivers and applicable supplies to the facility
  • Provide recommendations and referrals

 

Retirement Community Site Visit Protocol:

  • Initiate contact with community manager
  • Communicate services offered
  • Obtain authorization for a particular action plan
  • Meet with caregiving staff
  • Educate and train caregiving staff on applicable topics
  • Meet with applicable community members
  • *Ideally, caregivers will identify people having difficulty communicating (Index card identification system)
